Third airport after Roissy Charles de Gaulle and Orly in France, Nice Airport - Nice Côte d’Azur Airport – is witnessing a significant increase in commercial aviation traffic with over 12 million passengers in 2015.

This achievement reflects the attractive range of international destinations: 107 destinations including 15 new scheduled routes and more are being added. Terminal buildings are being refurbished to give passengers a great experience while waiting for a flight with Terminal 1 now complete.

In addition to commercial aviation, also general aviation achieved record-breaking levels of aircraft movements and landed tonnage in 2015. Furthermore, the helicopter business - the perfect complement to Business Aviation – has made great progress with a dedicated Terminal.

And there is more. Ambitious projects are in the plans, such as Airport Promenade - perfectly integrated into the future Grand Arénas zone – which will provide upmarket services close to the terminal buildings: hotels, restaurants, shops, a business centre, etc.

Among the numerous initiatives planned, the most ambitious one is reaching carbon neutrality. In fact, following on from recent innovative environmental initiatives such as the switch to 100% renewable energy, testing the first fully electric airport shuttle bus with boost charging and the introduction of an autonomous power and air conditioning supply system for business air travel, Nice Côte d’Azur Airport has become the first Carbon Neutral airport in France, achieving level 3+ Carbon Accreditation, and the world's 25th certified airport.

In all aspects, for its position close to the heart of Europe, easily accessible both from France and Italy, Nice Airport has become an international reference airport while remaining at the service of Alps of the Sea regional development.
