Jean-Christophe Maillot will present the most important pieces from his repertoire: Romeo and Juliet, La Belle, The Dream, Lake, Cinderella, Aleatório and also the program Beautiful Figure, Gods and Dogs and Hat for the 70th anniversary of Jiří Kylián.

This year, the Ballets de Monte Carlo, directed by Jean-Christophe Maillot, will propose a rich choreographic program, always faithful to the changing world of dance and relying on the three prestigious structures that make it up: the Compagnie des Ballets of Monte Carlo, the Monaco Festival Dance Forum and the Princess Grace Academy.

Jean-Christophe Maillot, supported by a repertoire ranging from works of narrative ballets to dense pieces of contemporary accents, will propose a work, from 26th to 29th April at the Grimaldi Forum with the Ballets de Monte Carlo, born of a new score created specifically for him by Bruno Mantovani, accompanied by the Orchestra of the Monte Carlo Philharmonic, in collaboration with Printemps des Arts, of which Marc Monnet is an artistic consultant.

On the same evening, the company will be presenting "Violin Concerto", a choreography by George Balanchine, which was danced for the last time 15 years ago. A true return to the origins, since the company has in its repertoire 20 ballets of this legendary choreographer.

From May 9th to 11th, the Ballets de Monte Carlo, in collaboration with the Bosio Pavilion and Monaco's Ecole Supérieure d'Arts Plastiques, will be presenting a new series of "Imprevus." At the end of the season, there will be "Été Danse", that will give again the opportunity to discover the richness of the choreographic art world.

The Princess Grace Academy will be presenting its traditional gala at the Salle Garnier of the Monte Carlo Opera on June 23rd and 24th.

From July 12th until 14th in the Salle Garnier, Monaco Dance Forum Festival hosts three special events: Alexander Ekman / Johan Inger / Mats Ek and Laguna will pay homage to the great director Ingmar Bergman (1918-2018).

Finally, from 26th to 29th July, in the Salle Garnier, the Compagnie Ballett de Monte Carlo will propose a new program: "White Darkness", choreographed by Nacho Duato and designs by Joseph Hernandez, who will work. for the first time with the company (former Ballett dancer from Montecarlo and today an aspiring young choreographer).

The Compagnie des Ballets de Monte Carlo, thanks to the importance of its international tours, takes full responsibility for its role as "cultural ambassador of the Principality of Monaco." In fact, not less than 50 shows around the world are planned in a dozen different countries such as Russia, Holland, China, Switzerland, France, Germany, USA, Spain, ....
