Nativity Scene's unique Tradition in Roccavignale and Orco Feglino

In Roccavignale, from December 22nd to 24th - streetlights switched off and torches lit up - the medieval village of Frazione Strada comes alive with open artisan workshops and taverns to represent the most striking event of the year. The Holy Representation of Jesus’ birth begins with the Annunciation and continues with the refusal of the host, the census, Herod meeting the Three Wise men, to reach the most awaited moment: the birth of baby Jesus where newborns take turns in the role of Jesus.

Roccavignale is located in Savona province - in Alta Val Bormida in a small valley of Rio Zemola near Bric San Bernardino (760 meters above sea level), at the border with Cuneo province in Piedmont.

Orco Feglino is also located in Savona province - in River Aquila's upper valley in the hinterland of Finale Ligure, on the southern slope of Mount Alto (954 m above sea level).
