Alba: International Alba White Truffle Fair 5th oct – 24th nov 2019 [Video & photo gallery]

The essence of the Fair, on every Saturday and Sunday in October and November, is the Alba White Truffle World Market; during this event, the Alba Truffle Show takes place: a Show Cooking with the great chefs, the Truffle Sensory Analysis, the Wine Tasting Experience®, twinnings with territories of food and wine excellence and “marriages of taste” in the hills of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato together with guests, meetings and debates. But the Fair is also made of folklore and great historical re-enactments, confirming and increasing its educational purposes with the Alba Truffle Kids; with a pavilion dedicated to children and their families.

Alba White Truffle World Market

This is the highlight of the event dedicated to the Tuber magnatum Pico.
An exhibition area located in the historic center, the perfect place to appreciate and buy the best truffles from the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato woods.

The Donkey Palio and medieval re-enactments

The Donkey Palio takes place on the first Sunday in October in Alba: a crazy race of donkeys that sees the nine boroughs of the city compete for the conquest of the Palio (a drape). The Palio is preceded by a historical parade with over a thousand characters, during which each village performs a historical episode of medieval inspiration.

Alba Truffle Show

Truffle is fragrance, poetry, mystery, but also “stellar” level cuisine and a status symbol with an everlasting charm. The Alba Truffle Show is a great hub of cultural and gastronomic events that celebrate the “white gold” of the Langhe in all its shades. During all the weekends of the Fair there will be national and international chefs, local chefs, designers, writers and artists sharing the same passion for truffles and the culture of good food and good taste.

Alba Truffle Kids

A children’s area equipped with educational games made of wood and natural materials; a place to play where, together with their parents, the little visitors can discover, while having fun, our land, our magical hills which are UNESCO World Heritage, where “it’s nice to look at the moon”.

SMA – Alba Museum Network

A new initiative for the capital of the Langhe. A synergy that joins together some of the richest and most interesting museums and places of culture of the city, that can be visited with a single ticket.
