August at the Castle: discovering the beauty of Racconigi Castle and its Park

Open Tuesday to Sunday, and on Monday August 15 (a national holiday in Italy), Racconigi Castle and Park - in the province of Cuneo  - is the ideal destination for a day of art and history, nature and landscape.

Royal holiday home before Italy became a Republic, already awarded as one of the "Italy's Most Beautiful Park", Unesco heritage, this precious place is open for initiatives and events: worth mentioning the extraordinary opening of the castle and the park on Monday, August 15^th for the traditional picnic.

From Friday, August 26th  to Sunday, September 4th, on the occasion of the 67th edition of Peperò, the Pepper Festival in Carmagnola, the castle houses evocative installations inspired by this delicious summer ingredient.

On Saturday August 27th, the elegance contest dedicated to Vespa - turning 70 in 2016 – will celebrate the anniversary of one of the most celebrated Italian icons, Vespa 98 (number that recalls 98cc of the first Vespa) with riders dressed according their vehicle.

And starting September 4^th, visitors can also take advantage of the full program of events and shows during the traditional Racconigi September, which will enliven the old town.

OPENING: from Tuesday to Sunday (Castle from 9am to 7pm, the park from 10am to 7pm. Last admission at 6pm. Dacia Café is open at weekends and also during August.
