The museum institutions participating are very diverse: in addition to the assets of the highlight area, such as Fort Mont Dauphin, the Castello di Pollenzo and Racconigi Castle (all sites included in the list of World Heritage Site), there are small museums, present in almost all the municipalities of the area, to represent the history, culture, nature and variety of Transboundary Biosphere and Reserve of Monte Viso.

Varied is also the territory covered by the initiative, which involves the French municipalities of the Regional Park of Queyras, crosses the Alps to go down in the Cuneo valleys spanning the Monviso (Grana, Maira, Varaita, Po), stretches towards the plain with Saluzzo, Fossano and Bra to get to lick the province of Turin with Cavour and Pancalieri.

"Monviso Unesco: a heritage for all" is the first initiative in which the variety of environments, culture, history, united by the King of Stone, coordinate to be known and propose to the general public the most extensive museum offer.
