Film Titles at Cannes 2016 finally revealed!

The 69th Cannes Film Festival, taking place this May, has finally revealed the participating films, a rich mix from across the world and across a selection of categories.

The 69th Cannes Film Festival, taking place this May, has finally revealed the participating films, a rich mix from across the world and across a selection of categories.

As previously announced, the film set to open this year's festival in the Out of Competition category is Woody Allen's Café Society - with Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart and Blake Lively - followed by Money Monster by Jodie Foster with George Clooney.

The In Competition category - films running for the Palme d'Or - includes a rich list from international, British, and American directors. To be judged by a jury presided by director George Miller, the category includes the new films from Andrea Arnold (American Honey), Pedro Almodóvar (Julieta), Nicolas Winding Refn (The Neon Demon) and the Dardenne Brothers (La Fille Inconnue). All competing alongside Jim Jarmusch's Paterson, Ken Loach's I, Daniel Blake and Loving, the next film from Midnight Special director Jeff Nichols.

In the Un Certain Regard category is Apprentice (Boo Junfeng), The Transfiguration (Michael O'shea) and Captain Fantastic (Matt Ross.)

Additionally, US director William Friedkin is to deliver the Cinema Masterclass. Filmmakers to previously give the masterclass include Martin Scorsese, Nanni Moretti, Wong Kar-wai, Quentin Tarantino, Marco Bellocchio, Philip Kaufman and Jacques Audiard. The Masterclass will be held on May 18 in the Palais des Festivals and will be hosted by film critic Michel Ciment.
