Tenda Express train is back

After 4 years since the last ride, Tenda Express train is back, going from Switzerland to Italy and back. From Zurich to Western Riviera via Novara and Alessandria, the train arrives in Taggia at 5.15pm. From there, passengers can take the bus to Sanremo.

The departure for the return journey is scheduled on Sunday at 8.45 am from Ventimiglia to Zurich via Breil Sur Roya, Cuneo, Turin, Novara and then it follows the same itinerary back to Switzerland.

Organized by the Swiss tour operator ZRT Zermatt Rail Travel specialized in train travel, the 2017 Tenda Express is set up with 6 first-class Swiss carriages. The traction for the outgoing Italian section is operated by a locomotive E.402.155, while for the return a D.445 is used at least for the non-electrified Ventimiglia-Cuneo section.
