Preserving the coastal and ocean environment: a beach clean-up on the Italian Riviera

It is taking place in the Alps of the Sea, on Sunday, May 7th, one the of largest beach clean-up in Italy.

The initiative involves several municipalities along the coast and inland covering the coastal area going from the town of San Bartolomeo al Mare to Riva Ligure, in Imperia province.

The goal for the day, besides beach cleaning, is, above all, promoting participants’ awareness of the environment and devoping understanding of the  significant role each one of us has in preserving it - by adopting habits that lead to sustainability and dropping those that produce continuous littering.

The beach clean-up is part of Let’s Clean up Europe and Sufrider Foundation Campaigns

It will start at 9.30, same time in all different locations.
