A stamp to celebrate the extraordinary beauty of Villa Grock

Circulating since November 25th, 2016, the commemorative stamp issued by Poste Italiane celebrating Villa Grock depicts the Villa built by Adrien Wettach on the hill above Imperia Oneglia.

The image was edited by Giustina Milite and the stamp is part of a series dedicated to "Italian cultural and artistic heritage". The stamp issue was accompanied by a philatelic exhibition in late November housed in the Villa: stamps on the circus world, this was the underlying theme, to emphasize Grock’s clowning.

Grock was already represented on stamp in Gibraltar.

Villa Grock is about to become even more attractive thanks to the garden makeover works financed by European funds.
