Albissola Marina is a true outdoor museum. Already known in the first half of the sixteenth century for its kilns and ceramics, Albisola was the stage for the Futurist art movement in the '30s. In the 50s, the presence of some among the most important artists, intellectuals, gallerists, writers transformed the ancient village in a privileged place meeting place where art is produced. Lucio Fontana, Sassu, Milena Milani, Asger Jorn, the Cobra Group, Wifredo Lam, Agenore Fabbri trace a historical moment in Albissola history.
The small town today still boasts the presence of many clubs, galleries, studios, exhibitions, performances, installations and various artistic expressions that involve authors of national and international fame.
