Planning to spend New Year's Eve in the Alps of the Sea?

2015 is nearing its end and the Alps of the Sea are planning to say goodbye to 2015 and welcome 2016 with style, adventure, tradition and fun!

Whether you choose to celebrate the end of the year in a restaurant, in a city's main square, or in a park, eating, dancing or hiking, here are some ideas for entertainment the Alps of the Sea have to offer: find what suits you best!

Sanremo: as every year, Sanremo proposes a rich entertainment program starting from the afternoon with the Great Occitan Orchestra offering many street shows around the city center. At 10pm in Vesco square the Lou Dalfin concert, Targa Tenco 2004, a true cultural phenomenon that has made Occitan music contemporary and popular. At the Sanremo Casinò, the New Year's Eve show with famous television, cinema and theatre actor and comedian Renato Pozzetto. The Casinò Theatre will also be the venue for the traditional New Year's Day's classical concert, this year with the title “Strauss' Valzer”.

Monaco Monte-Carlo: New Year's Eve dinner at the Monte-Carlo Casino with entertainment and a music band; also, only on this special occasion, the Casino will open its Salle Blanche to the public. You can also celebrate all night long on New Year’s Eve, dining at Buddha-Bar Monte-Carlo, dancing at the Blue Gin, watching the Russian circus representing the winter featured in the lobby of the Monte-Carlo Bay Hôtel & Resort, ending the year in style at Jimmy’z Sporting Monte-Carlo, or enjoying live acoustic music with a superb view of the port of Monaco, in the legendary bend of the F1 Grand Prix.

Imperia: beginning at 5pm the celebration along the harbour, on Calata Cuneo, will entertain into the night with live music by local bands, DJ, and a beauty contest

San Bartolomeo al Mare, near Imperia: a night of music and entertainment starting at 10pm in the main square

Loano, in the Savona district: New Year in the main square, music by We Are Presidents will entertain before and after the midnight countdown

Ceriale, close to Loano: also a New Year's Eve in the main square with the band "deja-vu"; the arrival of the new year will be celebrated with cake and champagne.

Savona: big party and concert at the Dock, the new area by the sea that has become the city's meeting point for leisure.

Alassio: New Year's Eve celebrated in Piazza Partigiani with entertainment, live music and DJ sets, and impressive display of fireworks at midnight

Alba: New Year's Eve in the main square Risorgimento with live music, lights, and a Nutella party!

Cuneo: New Year's Eve in Europa square and then many shows in the historic streets, for families, booths, music and much more. At Toselli Theatre the classical music concert just leading to midnight

And then for something different:

Piedmont mountains: a different idea, spending New Year's Eve in beautiful snow-capped Valle Maira's mountains at Campo Base which offers a 3-nights package of relaxation, sport and good food from Thursday, December 31st, 2015 to Sunday, January 3rd, 2016; half-board, New Year's Eve dinner with traditional Occitan and Piedmontese dishes accompanied by the best wines from the cellar, a day hike in the Valley and an evening hike watching the stars.

On the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri hiking trail: if you are hiking this amazing trail or just parts of it, you can spend New Year's Eve in the Mountain Hut Allavena, at Argentina and Nervia Valley's border; dinner with typical mountain dishesfollowed by a night walk and midnight toast

Antola Park: celebrating the arrival of the new year surrounded by nature hiking up to and dining at the Mount Antola's Hut, admiring extraordinary views of the surrounding mountains.
