Car racing: from 11th to 14th April the engines start to rumble again, with the 65th Sanremo Rally

The adrenaline will rise in level Friday, April 13th, when the competitors will start at 3.30 pm from Piazza Colombo.

Spring is late to arrive? No fear. The Rallye Sanremo will chase off clouds and rains with its 65th edition scheduled from Wednesday 11th to Saturday 14th April in the City of Flowers.

Also this year the rally event of the Western Riviera will gather on the roads of the hinterland, the cars participating in five different races: the 65th Rallye Sanremo, valid for the Italian Rally Championship, Italian Rally Asphalt Championship, Italian Two Wheels Championship, Suzuki Rally Trophy, and the two trophies of Renault: Clio R3 Top (this year also opened to the Clio R3T) and Twingo R1 Top. At the same time as the race of modern cars will take place the 33rd Sanremo Historic Rally, valid for the Italian Historic Car Rally Championship, immediately followed by the 32nd edition of the Cup of Flowers, traditional regularity race that will see at the start the most beautiful historical cars.

For the past ten years, the organizers have offered their competitors the chance to compete a less demanding "Sanremo", but no less exciting and spectacular. This is the "Sanremo Leggenda" of which the tenth edition will take place, all concentrated on Saturday 14th April. Finally, the "Sanremo" looks to the future with the third edition of the ECO Rally reserved for alternative energy vehicles.

The next appointment towards the moment in which the engines will be turned on, is the closing of the registrations for the race which will take place on Thursday 5th April, to experience the sporting and technical checks on Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th April. The adrenaline will increase in level on Friday, April 13th, when at 3.30 pm from Piazza Colombo, the heart of the Matuziana city, the first competitor will start to head to Porto Sole, where the spectacle test will take place on a 2.56 km track.

Immediately afterwards the long night of the "Sanremo" will light up with the traditional passages on the special Vignai, Bignone and San Romolo, followed by the "Mini Ronde" of 29.12 km to go all in one go and close the first day just after midnight with the repetition of San Romolo. Saturday 14 April second stage with the tests of Testico, San Bartolomeo and Colle d'Oggia before arriving at 7.00 pm to celebrate in Piazza Colombo the winner of the 65th edition of the Rallye Sanremo.

The sun has already booked a room in the city of flowers to enjoy the 65th Sanremo Rallye in the front row.
