“Cut out for design” - this is the slogan of the “87^ Fiera Internazionale del Tartufo Bianco d’Alba” (“87th International Fair of Alba’s White Truffle”), scheduled for the period between 7th October and 26th November 2017. The event will make visitors take heed on design, art, culture, gastronomy and winery of excellence. Various prestigious rendez-vous will celebrate the encounter between the Tuber magnatum pico (the Piedmont White Truffle) and the essence of the ‘Made in Italy’.

This prestigious fair represents the culmination of Piedmont’s gastronomic events, an exhibition that attracts over 600,000 people to this province every year thus representing one of the most important factors of economic development as well as the the main source of tourist attraction of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato, hills registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
During this eight-week-long fair, the “Earth’s jewel” (the White Truffle) will be at the centre of a very rich programme of events which will encompass shows, exhibitions, cooking shows, and gastronomical, cultural, musical, literary, folk and sport encounters - almost two months of rendez-vous which will involve not only the town of Alba, but the whole province where, year by year, the mystery and the magic of the Tuber magnatum pico are renovated. In this area it has become a symbol of collective experience involving catering, hospitality and the authentic Italian way of life.
