Nativity scenes around the world exhibit in Farigliano

The “Cribs of the World" exhibit offers sacred representation from around the world with many samples from Russia, Poland, Nepal, Burma and the cradle of Jesus, Bethlehem. The Exhibition is held in Via Torino 4 12060 Farigliano Cuneo. Open Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays until Epiphany From 9am to 12pm and 3pm-7pm, weekdays 3pm-7pm .

Christmas markets in Piedmont region

There are many markets, festivals and nativity scenes spread throughout the whole Piedmont Regionstarting from Borgo Dora in Turin.

In Susa, the Christmas market titled "Comet," will have a little bit of everything from cribs to craft and food-and-wine booths, Christmas music. Children receive a visit from Santa Claus who strolls through the market stalls.

The Christmas Village in Govone

The  municipality of Govone, weeks before December 25th sets up a Christmas village. A party where elves and fairies are the hosts and guests and visitors are cheered by choirs, nativity scenes, music, stories and booths. On the last day, Santa himself will deliver gifts to put under the tree to all children that wrote a letter. In the enchanted setting of Govone’s Castle of and Park, more than 80 wooden houses offer an extraordinary variety of products and crafts. This Market, in fact, has earned third place in the ranking of Most Popular in Italy.

Govone Castle - an authentic treasure among the Savoy Residences Place enlisted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site – is a Middle Ages fortress rebuilt in Baroque style then bought by the Savoy family towards the end of 1700, and finally chosen by Carlo Felice as a summer resort residence.

The main facade shows a scenic a two-ramp staircase while the interiors preserve precious Chinese tapestries and beautiful frescoes painted with the trompe l'oeil technique.

During the Magical Christmas village, all of the building’s beauties are revealed thanks to a guided tour.
