Getting ready for a new edition of the International White Truffle Fair of Alba, which has been resented in the beautiful setting of the castle of Guarene. The festival now in its 85th edition will  celebrate this year the faithful companions of the "trifolau", the "tabui" dogs.

The meeting was attended by the mayor of Alba Maurizio Marello, the president of the White Truffle Fair of Alba Liliana Allena, president of the Touristic company Luigi Barbero, the regional councilor for tourism Antonella Paris and the journalist Roberto Fiori .

The prestigious exhibition will be held from October 10 to November 15. Two months of events that will highlight the splendid territories of Alba, Langhe and Roero, recently listed as World Heritage Sites - UNESCO. As mentioned, the 85th edition will be dedicated to the truffle dog, a true local institution, due to its outstanding flair! As always, large space will be reserved for the White Truffle of Alba in the World Market of the White Truffle and Wine and, in particular through the Foodies Moments chaired by chefs that will exalt the culinary excellence of the territory. Do not miss, finally, local events that frame the fair: the historical parades in costume, from the investiture of the Podesta until Borgo evoking, exhibitions, conferences, sports events and musical ones ... all  a Fair to discover.

To find the truffle takes a special flair. It takes the nose of a well trained dog in the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato, where the precious nuggets, which made famous Alba in the world, are born every autumn. Four legs so beloved and valuable, that the University of Truffle dogs of Roddi was dedicated to them, academy where the best four-footed animals are trained to obtain the diploma in search of truffles. Just to the scent dog, his innate flair and the close bond with the trifolau, will be dedicated the 85th edition of the International Fair of the White Truffle of Alba, scheduled for Saturday, October 10 to Sunday, November 15 in the capital city of the Langhe.

After the prestigious preview of the Donkey Race on Sunday October 4 and after the opening of Friday, October 9, followed by two months, rich in food and wine, cultural and folklore events, that turn on the spotlight on Alba and the Langhe and Roero: an angle of Italy, that is becoming increasingly popular, in all latitudes, as evidenced by the recent inclusion of the wine landscape of the Langhe-Roero and Monferrato in the prestigious list of World Heritage sites - UNESCO.

And that, precisely in the fall, a rainbow of colors and flavors to become one of the most sought after destinations of the national and international tourism.
