Singing and travelling with Pia Scharling

"Pust Rejser" or "Blow Travel" is a danish travel agency specialised in bringing Danes to Cinque Valli or, more accurately, to Castelvittorio.

The owner of "Pust Rejser" is Pia Scharling whom everyone in Castelvittorio, Pigna and Buggio knows very well.

Her idea is to bring people from Denmark to our area and so she has done. Locals will recognise the "singing groups" of Danes who perform on the squares and in the churches in our beautiful villages.

Pia is one of many Danes in the area. She has a house in Castelvittorio and is the woman behind "The Alta Val Nervia Festival" which takes part every year in July bringing some of the best danish performers of classical music to Cinque Valli. Her initiative and commitment has meant a lot for the area.

Being a business woman with focus on travel is not only fun. It's a hard business and so it is for many of our local restaurants and bars. Pia is one of many who brings people and more business to our area.

Terry Prada, the owner of the Restaurant Busciun in Castelvittorio, had this comment on Facebook: "Without the help of the Danes who repopulated Castelvittorio, I would probably be already out of business. Thanks to all the foreigners who love our valleys we can realise how beautiful the place we belong to is. It's a beauty that we are no longer able to fully appreciate."
