The Turin event represents a veritable open-air contemporary art exhibition that every year, from the end of October to the beginning of January, illuminates the squares and streets of Turin from the center to the periphery.

The Lights of an Artist in Turin this year will be lit from October 30, 2019 until January 12, 2020. The official dates of the event also include the festivities and "Natale coi fiocchi 2019/2020" (Super Christmas events). The event in fact was not born as a Christmas illumination, but with time it began to be a distinctive feature also of the Christmas period in the Piedmontese capital.

The protagonists of this great outdoor show, whose main element are obviously the lights, are the luminous works created by numerous and appreciated contemporary Italian and foreign artists. Among the various works there are: "The flight of numbers" by Mario Merz on the Mole Antonelliana, "Love the differences" by Michelangelo Pistoletto in Piazza della Repubblica and "Flying Carpet" by Daniel Buren in Piazza Palazzo di Città.

The Luci d'Artista event inaugurates the contemporary art week in Turin every year, which continues throughout the first week of November with classics and new events such as Artissima 2019, Paratissima, Flat - Book Fair Art and other art fairs.

The map of Luci d’Artista 2019/2020 installations in Turin will be available in the coming months.
