Buckwheat and white chestnut Fair in Pamparato this weekend

The picturesque alleys of Pamparato in Val Casotto are home to a special event: Buckwheat and white chestnut Fair, bringing back the traditional flavors of local products.

Not to be missed: tasting of buckwheat polenta, white chestnuts, meliga cookies and Raschera cheese, the Choral Festival and the short cultural hike to St. Bernardo chapel with precious 1400 frescoes.

On November 26th at 8pm, the Due Torri Choral of San Michele Mondovi - celebrating its twentieth anniversary - concert will take place in the parish church of San Biagio.

The whole day of Sunday November 27th will be devoted to the local market and, starting at 12.30pm, the Pro Loco of Pamparato will distribute buckwheat polenta (Furmentin), raschera, white chestnuts, and meliga cookies.

In the afternoon, the short hike to San Bernardo Chapel will be a pleasant walk in the woods - by foot or mountain bike.

And then, of course, some dancing to the sound of popular Occitan music with Lou Serpent band.

Throughout the weekend, by reservation, visitors can enjoy tastings of local products for lunch and dinner in the restaurants of Pamparato, Serra and Valcasotto.
