From February 13th to March 12th, Ospedaletti dedicates its annual month-long appointment to its locally grown artichoke.

It's artichoke time in Ospedaletti!

From February 13th to March 12th, Ospedaletti, a coastal town near the French border, dedicates its annual month-long appointment to its artichoke – and not just any artichoke, but the locally grown one, over which Ospedaletti holds the municipal designation of origin.

Hence, the Ospedaletti artichoke, grown just a few steps from the sea, will be the prince of the Western Liguria Riviera for a month with “It's artichoke time”, the annual event now in its 9th edition, which offers many initiatives and surely good food!

Restaurants and eateries – about 21 join this culinary initiative - are going to propose delicious local artichoke-based menus. Thanks to the particular climatic conditions and the soil, artichokes, in fact, represent an excellent food, perfect for the Mediterranean diet which is based on light healthy ingredients.

Additionally, during the month dedicated to Ospedaletti artichoke, numerous cultural, sports and touristy initiatives will cheer the days for residents and tourists.

Guided tours on the hills behind Ospedaletti will be offered to admire the beautiful view of the bay and the lush artichoke crops on the terraces that uniquely characterize Liguria.
