On October 3, #PrinceAlbert of #Monaco inaugurates the first #cycle track between #Dolceacqua and #Camporosso

Get on the bicycle as a tourist together with the whole family, starting from Bordighera to achieve visiting the Doria castle in Dolceacqua is the image of a reality that could not delay that much to come true.

And it is scheduled at the meeting of the council of the Municipality of Camporosso, the approval of the bike path that will cover the stretch for about 7 km from the border with Dolceacqua until Bigauda going to connect with the existing track at a cost of about 920,000 euro.

The stretch that affects the City of Dolceacqua is already prepared and the asphalting will be made in the next ten days, then wait until  the work is completed in Camporosso, hypothesis scheduled for late 2016. The 200,000 euro spending also includes a contribution of the Principality of Monaco and in fact, on October 3 will SAS Prince Albert himself inaugurate it.

"A  touristic opportunity - said with satisfaction Mayor Fulvio Gazzola - because the sea bike path will connect with the inland track, opportunity and security for families especially in the summer, which want to reach our places with a healthy bike ride. Too bad for the orographic conformation, that towards Ospedaletti will make it difficult a possible union with the track of Area 24 ".

There has also been a preliminary meeting of the towns of Ventimiglia, Vallecrosia and Bordighera with Dr. Casu of the cycle project network Liguria. The idea is not only to create a single cycle path under the same signs among these cities but also to join together with the municipalities of neighboring France. It seems that Menton is already favorable to prepare a project of this type but everything will be more certain after the next meeting of the Liguria Region and the Department of Alpes-Maritimes, where it will be considered the possibility of acceding to the contributions ALCOTRA.
And while on the stretch of Vallecrosia, the City has already funded a first phase of the project and work should begin later this year, Bordighera and Ventimiglia, who say they are very conducive to the whole work, are already preparing the documentation to be submitted by 15 November.

"We say that we are very advantaged - said the commissioner of Bordighera Magherita Mariella - because our waterfront is already largely pedestrianized. Of course you will have to find a new adjacent parking project but it is a project we believe in it and we will strive for it to succeed. "

"Another important feature on which you will be working - said the Deputy Mayor of Ventimiglia Silvia Sciandra - will be to uniform us under one colour, following the example of Area24, mainly to give an image to the public and especially to tourists, hoping also in the accession of French municipalities.

So it isn't so far to imagine, that the same tourists who had reached Dolceacqua by bike can then set off towards Menton.
