Around the world with 2016-2017 Ballets de Montecarlo's season

A program filled with variety and emotions thanks to the presence of some of the most famous international companies who will exhibit in ballet, contemporary dance, hip hop and contemporary ice skating.

Beginning December 2016, a program filled with variety and emotions thanks to the presence of some of the most famous international companies who will exhibit in ballet, contemporary dance, hip hop and contemporary ice skating.

Here some of the highlights:

Marseille National ballet, Wang Ramirez, Peeping Tom, Liquid-Loft Chris Haring/Michel Blazy, L.E.V Sharon Eyal & Gai Behar (creazione), Le Patin Libre, Cuban Comtemporary Dance. Among the shows presented, seven are original shows including four created for the Ballets de Monte-Carlo: Marie Chouinard, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Natalia Horecna et Jeroen Verbruggen.

The Company will also play Jean-Christophe MAILLOT’s repertoire, between narrative ballet and a dense show with contemporary notes as a research laboratory: a new production of "La Belle" and an evening entirely signed by Jean-Christophe MAILLOT entitled "Men's Dance for Women.”

Ballets de Monte-Carlo will also be on tour for most of the year, from China to Colombia and Mexico, going through Spain and Italy, highlighting the key performances of their repertoire: Le Songe, Romeo and Juliet, and Lac and Cinderella by Jean-Christophe MAILLOT.

Princesse Grace Academy and the Monaco Dance Forum will also be present, which will organize a series of initiatives: dance at the museum, symposia, round tables, screenings...

Last but not least, the grand finale of the season: the first edition of "f (Ê) AITES de la danse", on the evening of July 1st and 2nd 2017.

With the 2016-2017 season, Ballets de Monte-Carlo, in partnership with HSH Prince of Monaco and the Société des Bains de Mer contribute to international choreographic art diffusion.
