Cervo and Seborga among the Italian small towns loved by Americans.

Forty-nine are the small Italian towns selected by the US site BuzzFeed, as reported by La Repubblica in an article published last September 28, 2015. In addition to Rome, Venice and Florence, Italy is mostly loved for its small towns overlooking the sea or for its medieval villages, where art, tradition and landscape mix into a unique blend.

After all, it is not a mistery that Liguria is widely appreciated abroad. Besides the beauty of Sicily, Campania and Tuscany, just to mention a few examples, west to east, the US site favorably mentions Liguria's coastal as well as inland towns. Along the approving reviews for beautiful Laigueglia, in the Savona district, the medieval borough of Cervo, in the district of Imperia, distinguishes itself too. Moving far west, the very peculiar and tiny principality of Seborga, just above Bordighera, has also made the list.
