An exciting snowshoeing trip in the Vallon de Fontanalbe through the Ligurian Alps, a different way to spend S. Valentine, sharing the love with nature!

From Casterino, a small picturesque village buried in snow, the itinerary keeps going toward the mountain's western side, up to a beautiful valley where, at its center, one can imagine the presence of the small lake Grenouilles as it will be completely covered by snow.

The altitude difference is minimal and the surrounding nature just unforgettable: Scots pine, silver fir and larch trees covered with snow and a chance to see ibex and chamois which, after the snowfall, tend to go come down from higher altitudes.

The trip will also be a wonderful opportunity to search animal tracks and participants maybe lucky enough to cross fresh wolves tracks.

This is a 5-hour trip with an altitude difference of about 400 meters and difficulty E.

Meeting time: 8am in Ventimiglia (Im);

Participation fee: € 10,00 - Free for children under the age of fifteen

Recommended equipment: hiking boots, long pants, fleece or sweater, jacket, gloves, water, lunch, snowshoes and poles.
