Balance will be the main theme of Cuneo’s 2015 Mountain Festival (“Montagna Festival 2015”), as announced during the press conference held in the town’s City Hall last week.
The festival will take place between May 28 and June 2 in Cuneo.
Cuneo’s councillor for events Paola Oliviero said the festival will have a rich programme that she hopes “will attract more tourists in our valley.”
Lido Riba, UNCEM Piedmont President, stated that the decision to organise the festival helps the city of Cuneo present and brand itself as an important “Alpine capital”.
Artistic Director Sandro Gastinelli also confirmed that 13 movies will be screened in the Monviso Cinema in Cuneo: the majority of them will be previews or rare short films.
Concurrently with the Mountain Festival a film and gastronomic festival will take place in Valdieri, and it will include “alpine happy hours” events (aperitivi di montagna) from May 30 to June 2.
Furthermore, to celebrate the new pedestrianised Via Roma in Cuneo, a lights show will be set up every night from 10 to 11pm between July 4 and 14.
