Monaco’s Printemps des Arts Festival to take place from 20 March to 12 April

The 31st edition of the Printemps des Arts Festival will take place in Monte Carlo over four weekends, from the 20th of March to the 12th of April 2015.

Internationally recognised artists and new talents will meet in Monte Carlo for one of the most important events of the Cote d’Azur. 

The Festival will be entirely dedicated to music: the programme includes 18 concerts, with an offer of music ranging from the 11th to the 21st century, and three special nights dedicated to Bach, Sibelius and Donatoni. 

More than 400 artists will take part in the event. Among them: Soile Isokoski; the violoncellistas Marc Coppey, Xavier Phillips and Camille Thomas; the pianist Henri Barda; the organist Bernard Foucroulle; and important groups such as the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France.

In the opening weekend, from the 20th to the 22nd March, three exclusive compositions especially created by François Bayle, Gilbert Nouno and Gérard Pesson will be performed. 

Not only famous artists, but also new talents will be protagonists of the Festival, thanks to four free classes where young students will have the chance to work with renewed masters of music.

Again this year, the successful “home recitals” will be organised: the artists of the Festival will perform free of charge in the home of those who will request it. This is an original way to promote music, in the spirit of the 19th century tradition, and create a special relationship with the audience.

The ticket price ranges from €25 to €50. Discounts are available when tickets to more than one concert are purchased. People under 25 only pay €10, and children under 12 have free access to the concerts.
