Masters of Olive Oil International Competition in Sanremo

It began yesterday the first edition of Masters of Olive Oil International Competition (MOOOIC) in Sanremo.

Born from a small group of three friends, fans and experts of olive oil, Aldo Mazzini, Ehud Soriano and Carmen Sanchez Garcia, the competition is taking place in Sanremo March 29th – April 1st.

Open to any company or organization - Olive growers, Manufacturers, Olive Oil Mills, Cooperatives and Producer organizations, Bottlers/Packagers, Associations of producers, Traders – Masters of Olive Oil competition promotes excellency, knowledge and qualities of Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

MOOOIC 2016 will have a total of 16 prizes per Hemishpere (North and South): Top 3 scores of each category (Low Fruity, Medium Fruity, High Fruity); Highest score of each type (Monovarietals, blends, DOP/IGP, Organic); Top 3 scores on a all-in-category list. Each category will be multiplied by a coefficient to have a standard score (calculated on the maximum score that can be achieved on a specific category related to the score of 100): High Fruity x 1,00, Medium, Fruity x 1,25, Low Fruity x 1,334.

Every Winner will get their Olive Oil published on the competition's site first page until next Competition, an Award label certifying Olive Oil achievement, a Technical description sheet, a Spidergraph, and a YouTube video hosted on the competition's channel.
