The entertainment is thus, whether through the performing arts, living heritage, and their buildings, festive and physical practices (sports buildings) and traditional games. All this intangible cultural heritage will be in the spotlight during these 3 days.

Created in 1984 by the Ministry of Culture, European Heritage Days take place every year the third September weekend.  Every year, a national theme gives a particular(special) perspective on an original or innovative aspect of the heritage, favouring unpublished openings and remarkable animations (guided tours, demonstrations of know-how, concerts, theatre performances, circuits with theme). It allows to federate local initiatives around this event and to structure communication.

European Heritage Days are organised by the Ministry of Culture and Communication / Department of heritages and implementations, in every region, by Regional Cultural Affairs Directorates. Placed under the auspices of the Council of Europe and of the European Commission, they benefit from the commitment of the Chief architects of historic monuments, of the National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research and of the network of Artistic and Historical Towns and Areas.
