The Illuminata 2018 "lights up" in Cuneo [Video & photo gallery]

It was a triumph of lights and an extraordinary show, the start off of the "Illuminata" 2018 in Cuneo. Great public participation throughout the city to admire the lights set up along Via Roma. The main street of the capital was in fact illuminated with thousands of street lights and lamps with the large opening door of the street on Piazza Galimberti, a light gallery covered with a barrel vault twelve meters long, followed by 140 meters of arches arranged along the road to end with 24 chandeliers positioned on the sides after the gallery.

All this to celebrate the Carminela, the Feast of the Madonna del Carmine, which for more than four centuries is the event in the heart of the historic city of Cuneo.

The initiative will continue every night until July 21st with a double switch-on at 10pm and 11pm. On Wednesday 18th July, the "mille luci nel piatto" initiative will be held with dinner under the bright arcade in via Roma.
