Imperia-Limone 4-day hiking trip is celebrating its 10th anniversary!

As for the last 9 years, this year as well the Imperia-Limone 4-day hiking trip is taking place in August, to the discovery of the Ligurian inland, history and trails that, departing from the coast, cross the impressive Ligurian Alps along the ancient Via del Sale (Salt Road).

Four days to travel 108 km by foot, from IMPERIA Oneglia to Limone, immersed in nature, walking along ancient streets, crossing breathtaking scenery unknown to many.

The hiking trip, organized by the sport association MY is celebrating its 10th edition. Participants will depart from Imperia and arrive at Limone in 4 days (108 km in total) totally immersed in nature and assisted by a great supportive staff which by cooking delicious food, carrying heavy weight and setting up tents before arrival will make the hike lighter and way more pleasant.

The trip takes place August 17th-20th and has a slightly modified itinerary compared to previous years:

1st day:
Meeting place: Imperia Oneglia, Piazza Rossini. Hike to Monte Acquarone Chapel and arrival at Colle d'Oggia's tent camp already set up by the staff. Dinner and party under the stars

2nd day:

Early morning departure from the base camp toward Monte Grande, Rezzo Wood, Passo della Guardia where lunch will be served and then arrival in the late afternoon,

Delicious dinner cooked in the village's wood oven and comfortable overnight stay at Rifugio Realdo

3rd day:

Departure from Rifugio Realdo with destination Passo Tanarello, Monte Missun and Monte Bertrand. Arrival in the evening at Rifugio Don Barbera, for a fun dinner and evening

4th day:

Early departure from Rifugio Don Barbera toward the last stage of the trip and the final destination: Limone! And then train back to Imperia riding part of the beautiful Cuneo-Ventimiglia line

As nature and the environment are of utmost importance to the association MY, this hiking trip is zero environmental footprint, thanks to a collaboration with LIFEGATE spa the association calculates the trip's environmental footprint which, then, will be compensated by the creation and protection of woods in Italy (Parco del Rio Vallone).

Additionally, during the hike, the association commits to clean the trail as all changes begin with a small responsibility.
