Coming up in July the annual appointment to taste a traditional dish from Ormea: lasagne all’Ormeasca, a special dish seasoned with Alpeggio cheese.
Lasagne all'Ormeasca are a dish belonging to the ancient cooking tradition of Cucina Bianca - in fact they are made of simple ingredients coming from pastoral civilization.
This kind of dish is very different from the widely known Italian lasagne as they are irregularly cut fresh pasta prepared with a mixture of whole flour and water. The pasta is then boiled with thinly chopped potatoes and sauteed with cheese or seasoned with a leek, dried mushrooms and cream sauce.
The Lasagna festival will take place on July 8th 2017 at 7.30pm at Parco Pollicino
