Ventimiglia, Ranzo, and Cervo: so many opportunities to admire the charm of Ligurian villages immersed in a festive Christmas atmosphere.

Many are the initiatives to spend a magical and enchanted Christmas.

In Ventimiglia, tastings and music in the streets of the old town on December 24th starting at 7pm, just before the live Nativity Scene, Christmas music with bagpipers, a bonfire in the cathedral square and the exchange of greetings with hot drinks and cakes.

In Ranzo - a small village in the Arroscia Valley –  as every year on Christmas Eve, the traditional live Nativity Scene takes place during the midnight mass at the village’s church. All children in the area will be involved in the many ancient trades using authentic tools and the classic crib’s traditional figures (shoemaker, laundress, bakers, shepherd, innkeeper, spinner, farmer, etc ..). Outside, great food and drinks and local products will be available at the stables and taverns (fried ravioli, panizza, vegetable soup, nougat, bugie, local cheese, mulled wine, hot chocolate etc ..)

Another Living nativity Scene will take place in Cervo, on December 24th at 8.30pm, set around the late nineteenth century. Bagpipe and reed flute’s notes will spread from Corallini square. This special event will culminate with midnight mass and the traditional exchange of greetings with mulled wine, hot chocolate and panettone.
