Bells forged in ancient workshops, handcarved wooden objects, blown glass, handmade leather goods, inlaid tiles are just some of the many treasures one can find at Piccapietra square,  right in the centre of Genoa.

St. Nicholas Christmas market has been a special Holiday Season appointment for many years now where booths with eighty craftsmen and hundreds of volunteers every year offer very original gifts.

Additionally, at this traditional market one can find special ancient crafts, at times disappeared, such as the chair maker, the potter's wheel thrower, the knife grinder, the slate sculptor, the toymaker, the glass blower, the nativity scene statues and little houses manufacturer, the umbrella maker, and the candlemaker.

St. Nicholas Market in Genoa opened on December 3rd with an inauguration, parade and flag-wavers and will run until December 23rd.
