This oasis of greenery, education, awareness and relaxation striving towards excellence for the maintenance of fauna and flora biodiversity, is definitely a space devoted to the appreciation of nature.

Phoenix Park in Nice: a great destination for the whole family!

Located in the heart of the city of Nice, Phoenix Park was created in 1990. Its construction was a real technical challenge and lasted 26 months: Nearly 80 companies participated in its realization and no less than 14000 cubic mt of land and 2000 tons of rocks were used for its construction. Its name, "Phoenix", comes from the palm tree "Phoenix Canariensis", the Canaries date palm now used as ornamental plant around the world.

It is a member of the French Association of Zoological Parks and now has more than 3000 animals represented by 150 different species of mammals, birds, reptiles, Amphibians, fish, insects and corals.

Labeled "Remarkable garden", it presents 2500 species of plants, some remarkable and preserved in a Mediterranean landscaped decor.

Its pyramidal greenhouse, called the green diamond, is one of the largest in Europe: 7,000 sq.mt and a height of 25 meters reconstituting 6 tropical climates. It offers 7 hectares of remarkable animal and plant biodiversity, both in theme gardens and in the tropical greenhouse.

Phoenix Park is also a place of artistic, scientific, pedagogical exhibition and hosts conferences, workshops and various events all year. This oasis of greenery, education, awareness and relaxation striving towards excellence for the maintenance of fauna and flora biodiversity, is definitely a space devoted to the appreciation of nature.

As Phoenix Park is labeled Famille Plus! - a national label intended to offer special care for the reception of families – it is a great destination for the whole family during the Winter Holidays!
